I live outside of Nashville, Tennessee, in a log cabin ¼ mile up a “mountain” with my husband of 48 years. One of our sons lives in Nashville with our daughter-in-love, and our other son lives in Costa Rica with our daughter-in-love and twin granddaughters.
I love being in the midst of nature and my addiction is plants—indoor and outdoor. Digging in the dirt is great therapy. As someone who has worked in the field of mental health for over 40 years, I know how important it is to nurture yourself with stress-reducing interests. I am somewhat retired but keep busy by continuing to do clinical supervision via Zoom, volunteering with people experiencing homelessness, and being on the Administrative Team of Copper to Gold: A Transformative Approach to Race Amity. My educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Clinical/Community Psychology and a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership. As a member of the Bahá’í Faith, I recognize that everything I do, however small or large, should be in a spirit of valuing the oneness of humanity and translating what I learn into action for the “betterment of the world.”
