Course: Overcoming Racism: Bahá’í Texts and Exemplary Lives (Fall 2025)
Faculty Mentor: Nicola Casserly

by Madeline Mesa

This course has been incredibly valuable to me. The resources, vocabulary, and insights shared have given me the means to confidently facilitate spaces where the community can engage in conversations about race, unity in diversity, and equity. I feel like this course has given me the tools I needed to carry out something I have wanted to do for a very long time, but lacked the know-how.

Along with providing an extraordinary amount of information, I gained access to several mentors who have agreed to help me with my endeavors along the way. I look forward to reviewing the course material over the next year and retaking this course in the future.
