[A]nother thought on the interaction between science and technology: scientific experimentation is conducted with the aid of some type of technology, even if the technology is quite simple. At the same time that it aids, technology also biases, though perhaps only subtly, what is investigated. It points to (or perhaps just suggests) one place to look or another, or encourages one question over another… The world open to science is so rich that what we find depends on what questions we ask or where we look, and technology plays a role in where we direct our gaze.”
