The Wilmette Institute’s Social Transformation Certificate is an online, tuition-free academic program designed to deepen your understanding of race unity, education, environmental stewardship, and social change. Participants earn the certificate by completing three courses within two years of enrollment.
Eligibility Requirements
• Associate’s degree or higher, or currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program with at least 2 years completed.
• Strong understanding of the English language.
• Reside in Canada (all provinces/territories eligible) or a U.S. state where WI is authorized (*see list below)
*Authorized U.S. states: AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, DE, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, IN, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, NE, NH, NJ, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, WY.
Application Process
- Online Application Form in 2 Stages: Includes ID upload, unofficial transcript upload, and an admissions essay (choose from five topics).
- Admission Interview: Conducted via Zoom to assess mutual fit.
- Final Decision: Made by the Admissions Committee using a scoring rubric.
