The Wilmette Institute has announced thirteen Web Talks for 2019 with more to come. Nine of the talks will help you prepare for the bicentenary of the Birth of the Báb in October. Now is the time to take out your mobile device and/or your new paper calendar and add the dates and titles.
Most Web Talks are on Sundays at 2 p.m. Eastern Time (1 p.m. CT; 12 noon MT, 11 a.m. PT, 7 p.m. in the UK, and 8 p.m. in Western Europe). Whether you sign up now for all the Web Talks or just for one of them, the Wilmette Institute offers a service that you may not know about. If the date or the time of the Talk changes, the Institute will notify of the change. You may want to consult with your community or cluster about planning community watch-and-learn sessions (preceded or followed by a potluck). Such sessions would make for a unific, informative, and inspiring learning gathering. If you watch the Web Talks live, you can jot down questions that you or your group wishes to ask the speaker. If you cannot watch live, the Web Talks are posted on the Wilmette Institute’s YouTube channel within twenty-four hours after the live session. That allows more flexibility in planning watch-and-learn sessions. Here is the list of 2019 Web Talks, as of January 1 (we will post additions as they come in): Talks relating to the Báb and in celebration of the bicentenary of His birth are called out in bold type.
