First Web Talk in 2016: Shahrokh Monjazeb Will Discuss “The Birth of the New Revelation in the Siyah-Chal Prison”
Dec 30, 2015
The Wilmette Institute’s first Web Talk in 2016 will feature Shahrokh Monjazeb talking about “Veiled and Concealed in the Hidden Habitation of His Inner Being: The Birth of the New Revelation in the Síyáh-Chál Prison.” In his talk Monjazeb will discuss a number of questions, including:
What happened to Bahá’u’lláh when He was incarcerated in the Black Pit in 1853?
Did He know He was a Manifestation of God before then?
Did He receive revelation before then?
How was His mission inaugurated?
When did His followers know about the event?
On January 15 Monjazeb will begin a seven-week course called From Concealment to Glorious Splendor: The Three Stages of Bahá’u’lláh’s Declaration, which will include six live web video sessions that will be recorded for watching later. This free Web Talk is the first of six videos for the course. The other five videos will only be available to course participants. Shahrokh Monjazeb is a scholar of Bahá’í history and sacred scripture. For over two decades he has been involved with the work of translating into English the writings of the Central Figures of the Bahá’í Faith.
