Course: Fostering a Bahá’í Identity in Families (2021)
Faculty Mentors: Julie Iraninejad & Chelsea Lee Smith
Student: Niloufar

Taking the course Fostering a Bahá’í Identity in Families inspired me to start a weekly children’s devotional/ playgroup for newborns to 5-year-olds, with their parents. The group started in February, and I have been overwhelmed by the positive reactions to the conversations I’ve initiated. It has also been wonderful for my daughter, who is 3 1/2, to co-host this space with me.

My hope now is to attend one of the world conferences with this group of mothers,  including three friends from the wider community who attend regularly.

Beyond that, I am considering starting a Ruhi Book 1 study group. The most exciting thing, though, is the thought that this group of children could grow up together and go through the whole educational system being developed by the Bahá’í world.

Clearly, this course came at a very opportune time for me, and I have been recommending it to friends.
