Jenina S. Lepard, author of The Fashioner: Reflections on the Role of Music and the Arts in Building a Global Community, is an active musician. She is dedicated to bringing the arts to the grassroots and to the building of a just and unified world. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from SUNY Potsdam and an M.A. degree in Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She taught music in public schools and gave private music lessons for a number of years. She currently works as a clinical social worker, holding an M.S.W. degree from Rutgers University. Jenina is also the author of a book for youth, Diamonds in the Rough. A native New Yorker, she currently lives with her husband, Brian, in Lincoln, Nebraska.
